Create a Technology Roadmap You Can Review Quarterly
Advanced Managed IT Technology ยท Archive date: February 28, 2026
A technology roadmap does not need to be a complicated diagram. It needs to show what should happen next and why the order matters.
Start with business milestones such as hiring, opening a location, or replacing a core application. Identify the systems each milestone depends on, then separate immediate fixes from upcoming projects and longer-term decisions. Assign owners, estimated costs, and dependencies. Leave room for discoveries rather than pretending every detail is certain.
Review the roadmap quarterly with the people responsible for operations and budgeting. Updating the plan helps you respond to changed priorities and gives purchasing decisions a business context before deadlines make them urgent.
