Make Least Privilege a Practical Monthly Habit

Advanced Managed IT Technology · Archive date: March 31, 2026

IT administrator and team lead reviewing account access on a laptop.

Advanced MIT’s earlier zero-trust discussion introduced an important idea: access should be verified rather than assumed. A useful next step is to examine one group of accounts each month.

Choose a system containing important information. Confirm who needs access, what each role should be able to do, and which permissions can be removed. Separate administrative work from everyday activity where practical, and review the condition of devices used to connect. Document exceptions with an owner and a review date.

These checks do not create a complete zero-trust architecture by themselves. They make a broad security principle tangible and help your business reduce unnecessary access over time.

Talk with Advanced MIT about a practical next step for your business.
